A little quieter....

After so many amazing things, our party, our wonderful dinner with Alesia's folks on our 15 year anniversary, having Alesia's Mom here, cleaning out our old home, and working on it continually with girlfriends, Cindy, Laura & Kathy, thank GOD! A Russian class that Katya is teaching, and recently a road trip to Chicago..............

It finally feels as though it is getting  a little quieter. Hope to tackle the normal piles of laundry, pick up some more dressers for the boys room, and maybe, just maybe watch a movie with the kids today. We "unplugged" in Chicago and it was GREAT! Kids did great on the trip.

Katya had an award for her 8th grade achievements on Friday, and Jaclyn had an award at Nortwestern in IL, for her ACT test results.

We stopped at Cathy & Dave's for chicken and rice, salad, nummy beverages, and everyones favorite, chocolate cake. We have had our very first official, serious inviation to take all 7 kids for a couple days from them, so we might need to have them do this! Sometime in July.

We are doing well, but still feel strapped for time.  I am starting to walk the dog, which is a much needed break for me, so hope that continues. We have miles to go before we sleep, but I can only speak for myself, in that we are doing better than a week ago!

We saw Uncle Matt, Alesia's brother in Chicago!

Jaclyn receiving her awards.

Katya after her award celebration.

Katya, Taylor, finish our family puzzle, James & Andre look on.

Third place in reading on the ACT test.

How many piano teachers have 6 from the same family!
Mrs. Everitt in Lake Elmo does.

Grandma Janet with her grand kids. It was her first time to meet them.

Love from Chris & Alesia

Pray for those who persecute you....

Matt 5:11 "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven...."

Matt 5:44" But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of the Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear.....

Phil 4:5-9 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things.

2nd Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

We adopted 4 older siblings from Ukraine in 2010 and hope we can help.

We will share what we learn and help you when we can. There are great supports here on this page. Sometimes it's one day, moment and breath at a time. And you're not alone. Love, Alesia & Chris
