Vacation, School, House..etc

 Sure am having trouble formating so will go with it and hope the type fills in the gaps. My computer is also on the fritz. We had a great time in Glacier - note all the beautiful photos. We had a nice time at Steve and Nancy's wedding. We are doing well most days, but there is definitely a lot of female hormone going around. Someone is always gossiping, complaining, lying, crying, sassing, from the female side of things. And from the male side, there is mostly complaining and sometimes your general physical contact. I have to say lately I trust few and fear more, but am hoping for a better future. I have chosen to serve HIM, and try to not let it get me down. Some say they are sorry but dip into the same behavior. I need to stop taking it personally. Chris and I are well, but have a lot to do to finish up the sale of the house. Kids are going to VBS, then hockey starts, then I hope to have them in another VBS. Football starts Aug 8. Natasha had a nice sleep over birthday party after Glacier.

 

We have the tally's in for homeschool, 6 for home and 1 for school. We'll be doing the same curriculum for Jonathan, Natasha & Sophia except for Math, the same for James & Andre, and Jaclyn's on her own for a lot of subjects, mostly highschool level. She's finishing up biology and half of Algebra I this summer. Katya will attend Mahtomedi High School. Many will gossip about our choice, please pray instead and please keep your comments to yourself.

We'll be hunkering down in August around sports, to finish up the sale of our home, and finished getting settled. We appreciate your love and good will towards us and your conversation, and encouragement. Chris and I have days that get long and hard and knowing that you're out there is a great encouragement to both of us.

Happy Birthday Jonathan

(Sorry, never posted this..)

Jonathan had a perfect birthday today....

We managed 4 1/2 innings of family baseball, then we headed to McDonald's for playland and burgers, then, during our chamber music, Papa Louie came and took Jonathan out for ice cream at Nelson's and showed him all around Stillwater where he used to live and grow up. Then Jonathan took his 2 little brothers and the neighbor boy to the batting cages for more baseball. I even batted a few from the 50mph cage...swing and miss, and a few hits too! After the cages we had brats and beans with Papa and finished the evening off with the All Star Baseball game, and cake and ice cream!

I threw in a couple photos of the cats as they live in our laundry room and the photos are cute.

My Dad had another round of chemo, so as always, another round of prayers is much appreciated. He has been fishing a bit which is a gift in itself, and he even caught his limit. I need prayer for a few things too, getting run down a bit, and still lots to do. But, Praise our Lord, we sold our home, so we hope to close mid August!

Red, White, and Blue, and my face too.....

Happy 4th of July everyone! I took a baseball to the face last night so I had some fireworks of my own. And my lips and eye, and blood from my nose definitely showed off Red White and Blue! I'm not sure who felt worse, Chris and the kids...or me. But it was heartwhelming to have them care so much. I had kids waiting on me, and Chris apologizing numerous times, and people praying for me!
Photos are from our family gathering at Mom & Dad's for the 4th, a beach trip last week, and the fireworks tonight. We had such a good weekend, despite my face which is getting better and better.

One day last week after we put our old home on the market, we went to the beach. It was about 95 that day so the perfect place to be! James content in the sand and the Sophia, Natasha & Jaclyn having girly time out in the water. Jonathan content with his latest baseball book from the library.

Chris caught some zzzz's at our family gathering this weekend. He needed it after all the work he's done to get our home on the market. Alesia & Heather take a quick photo.

Girly time again at our beach trip...Grandpa O with Sophia after Grandpa had driven the boat to the dock. What a look of accomplishment and satisfaction, especially after climbing all those stairs.

Here's our best shot at the fireworks. And below, we are grateful to prayers as my lips have been getting better and better. I don't look like an "alien" anymore as per Jonathan!

Natasha has been studying Pocahontas and writing a report on her. She is really driven to do it on her own and I enjoy seeing her spirit and phonetic spelling. Hope to hold on to her rough draft and show it to her some day when her spelling is great.
